James Mollison: Where Children Sleep BOOK
Art n Hobbies , Childrens Teens , Non-Fiction / August 13, 2011

James Mollison’ book Where Children Sleep is a gallery of James’s photojournalism about children’s bedrooms alongside portraits of the children themselves. This book documents children around the world, from the middle-class and prosperous to the strikingly impoverished. First released October 30th 2010 and published by Chris Boot, it 120 pages was an enlightening photography book because James Mollison himself is a good photographer. No matter where they come from, whatever happened to them, whatever they will encounter, few of the children photographed are smiling. With support from NGO STC (Save The Children), Mollison captured more than a hundred images of children from the U.S.A., Mexico, Brazil, England, Italy, Israel and the West Bank, Kenya, Senegal, Lesotho, Nepal, China and India in over the course of four years. I would recommend Where Children Sleep to adult as a serious photo-essay and to pre-teens for a healthy dose of honesty and engages themselves to the children’s life around the world. ebook 1st rating: 8/10 ★★★★★★★★☆☆
