Vampire Academy author Richelle Mead planned to release the first book of her newest YA teen fiction series named Bloodlines on August 23rd 2011. Bloodlines is the Spin-off series of the Vampire Academy series. Set in the same world as VA, the story picks up shortly after VA ends. The courtroom is in hullabaloo over Vasilisa Dragomir’s rule as queen and more people would like to see her gone. Even so, instead of striking straight to the target, they go for her sister Jailbait Jill because by getting rid of her, Lissa will need to sacrifice her throne. To overreach this attack, Jill is put away at Amberwood Preparatory Academy with a posse of protectors including the Alchemist Sydney Sage, the dhampir Eddie and Adrian. Together they band to keep Jill safe and try to go on and build some likeness of a life in the aftermath of VA.
