Star Wars Fate of the Jedi 7 Conviction

Conviction is the seventh installment to the Star Wars Fate of the Jedi Series, a Sci-fi Fantasy series by the New York Times bestselling Aaron Allston. Released May 24th 2011 by LucasBooks, it 256 pages has an introduction to Ascension (the next installment book to the series) beside the Conviction main story. Some characters inside the book are Luke Skywalker, Natasi Daala, Ben Skywalker, Abeloth, Tahiri Veila, Vestara Khai.

Conviction revealed that Valin Horn and Jysella Horn, who were previously frozen in Carbonite, reawaken and still suffer from the effects of the Force psychosis that afflicted several other Jedi who were hidden in Shelter during the Yuuzhan Vong War and which was attributed to the mysterious Abeloth hunted by Luke Skywalker and his son, Ben. It does not reveal why the Horn siblings are still affected by it when all the other Jedi recovered since then.

Meanwhile, Han and Leia Organa are suspicious of their granddaughter, Allana, who has somehow gotten dirty in the supposedly clean New Jedi Temple. This was attributed in the previous novel where Allana, her pet nexu Anji, and her Jedi guardian Bazel Warv had gotten dirty because they had found hidden catacombs beneath the New Jedi Temple.

Allana and Bazel were sworn to secrecy about the existence of these catacombs by Tesar Sebatyne and his other Barabel mates, who were using the catacombs as nests. The terms to the agreement were that Allana and Bazel would not tell anybody of the nests if the Barabels didn’t tell anybody about Allana’s true parentage regarding the late Jacen Solo and Hapan Queen Mother Tenel Ka Djo.
